Oficial Review:
Set during the depths of the Great Depression in America, the romantic drama depicts complicated relations between a female and a male. She is Camilla Lopez (Salma Hayek), an ardent beautiful Mexican barmaid who longs to break away from poverty's grip and climb the social ladder by marrying a WASP. He is Arturo Bandini (Colin Farrell), a down-and-out yet promising Italian writer who is anxious for fame and fortune. One fine day their paths cross in Los Angeles, the city where all dreams are supposed to come true. The sweet fire of love sweeps over them. But Camilla doesn?t fit in his plans because Arturo dreams of marrying a blue-eyed blonde. Will these two be able to realize that they are made for each other? Will their hopes and wishes come true?
