Fresh Movie Review: May be a fine line between paying homage to a film and a film, or simply to rip off, is a copyright infringement lawsuit. Sometimes the difference between the two is nothing more than that behind the camera talent on display, and the audience's desire for an excuse to rip off and accept it as a tribute. Unfortunately for Marcus Adam, Director, whatever it may be negligible talent behind the camera information, it is not enough to make the fact that his "tribute" to John Sturges' seminal 1955 film Bad Day at Black Rock is really a pathetic rip off, so that Marcus and co-writer Debra Sullivan should be sued, and Black Rock in the name of the original author, mildred Kaufman, Don McGuire and Howard Breslin, the credit should be added to the plot. Val Kilmer - like looking for has been getting the food and exercise suggestions from Steven Seagal - a star of the "ghost" MacPherson, for fear of a war in Iraq war veteran. The film's first 15 minutes (which are only a minute think that originality), MacPherson introduced in the form of training is disturbed suffering from a severe post traumatic stress disorder, which owes its life to fellow Marine Miguel Silva (Greg Serano ). A Mexican immigrant who joined the Naval citizenship to receive, Silva wants to join him in Arizona MacPherson. When it comes to MacPherson, Silva is nowhere to be found, no one knows who he is - or at least know they will not accept it - and unfriendly local people try to run the city of his hero, is out of . But simply refused to leave MacPherson and forget about their friend, to set up a confrontation with evil land developer (Gary Cole) who runs a small town like the racist plantation owner. Has been shown for any of the bad day at black rock, all this will sound familiar, because the plot is accurate. The only difference is that the Black Rock starred Spencer Tracy as John J. Macreedy, a wounded World War II, training, the father looking for a fellow soldier. Bad Day at Black Rock, Macreedy is looking for a Japanese man, allowed the film to address the anti-Japanese sentiment during World War II and after. Replace them with the plot of fear about immigration issues, and Spencer Tracy stops Val Kilmer's hands instead of artificial legs, which is revealed in one of the moments in the film's surprise originality (bad for your understanding The one for you). Marcus Adam, all religion, their hackneyed, devoid of merit, steaming pile of crap the film does manage to rip off not totally bad day at Black Rock, which is clearly the second and third parts of the act, when The theft of the first film of blood, Billy Jack, and the second best of the best. The dare, and his co-writer Marcus Sullivan is the mind - boggling. It's not enough that Marcus - whose previous credits include Jason goes to hell - an average of the best filmmakers, but one that any director would be so presumptuous as to avoid can feel That he is the cinematic level of plagiarism with insulting. Sure, the average filmgoer may be illiterate, Maurya, but enough people out there who saw that the rock on a bad day to call black bullshit. (Of course, the one who signed the film in Sony, and those who funded, need to pimp - slapped for not being a fool, so that they recognized the extent of the case and is worthy of Marcus Sullivan The lack of originality.) I hate to say this plot would be gross understatement. I found this film to a humiliating insult to the people in the creative process far more talented than Marcus, who are wandering in obscurity simply because they have the integrity to steal from someone else, and then tried to pass off as Their views and a private. And while I know plenty of other films and filmmakers of "inspiration" for the past works, a different plot. If you to take out each element of the film that was directly from the bad day at black rock, you have not left a movie, not with just a few random shots to hang on the story.
